Following it's makeover back in 2003, the Crown inn of once, has become an easily accessible, ever popular dining venue. Sally Warburton has pushed away those cobwebs, axed those dusty carpets and curtains to produce something quite special.
Still with that touch of a cosy-feel traditional country pub, the open plan, seventy cover dining area is of a Mediterranean influence, yet one can still gaze at the two original roaring log fires and the good old fashioned stone interior walls and low wooden beams.
Of course, the delights of the transformation do not stop here, the Warburton family have taken the food to the highest quality yet it remains simple. The creativity of executive chef, Chris Alderson is enough to fulfil all cravings. Fish is delivered overnight from Cornwall and the beef from the Scottish Highlands as everything is prepared fresh to order. For a traditional pub with a twist of gastro, the Crown is an experience not to miss!
